Financial Policy

It is our office policy for patients to pay for all procedures at the time of each visit unless prior arrangements have been made. A prepayment courtesy of 5% will be subtracted from the total amount due (on services totaling over $2000) if paid in full PRIOR to the first treatment date and if payment in full is made by cash or check. 

We offer CareCredit℠, a no-interest alternative to pay for your dental care. CareCredit℠ offers several, no interest, long-term payment options.

Insurance Policy

St. Simons Island Dental Associates, P.C. is not affiliated with any insurance networks but most dental insurance policies have out-of-network benefits. 

We will gladly submit any insurance claim forms to your insurance provider on your behalf to help simplify the process for you. 

If you have any questions at all about filing a claim, please speak with our front desk staff.

What To Expect

during a typical office visit

At St. Simons Island Dental Associates, we want to make your dental visit as fast and efficient as possible. We know that your time is valuable and we strive to accommodate you at all times. Here are a few helpful tips to help streamline your visit with us!

STEP 1: COMPLETE ALL PATIENT FORMS

Complete our patient forms on-line or print them, complete them and bring them with you to your appointment. This will expedite things upon arrival.

STEP 2: BRING ANY INSURANCE INFORMATION

Please bring any pertinent information regarding your dental insurance with you to your dental appointment. We will gladly file any dental insurance claims on your behalf as a courtesy to you.

STEP 3: ARRIVE AT LEAST 10 MINUTES EARLY FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

Arriving early for your dental appointment helps us to address any issues with your dental insurance and/or medical history prior to your appointment time with the dentist or hygienist.

STEP 4: PREPARE ANY QUESTIONS IN ADVANCE

Bring a list of questions or concerns you may have for the dentist or dental hygienist. This will help create a more thorough consultation, prevent any missing information and help us address your concerns properly.

STEP 5: HYGIENE VISIT

If your appointment is with the dental hygienist, she will clean and polish your teeth, conduct a full examination and take x-rays. Afterward, the dentist will be consulted to check x-rays and conduct an additional examination of your teeth for signs of decay, check your gums for changes and other signs of oral cancer or disease.

STEP 6: DENTIST CONSULTATION

On all adult new patients our office requires a comprehensive examination with the doctor even if you have had regular care under another dentist. This will allow us the doctor to notice any changes or problems more easily in future visits.
